Tenuta Fontana will participate in the third edition of "La Terracotta e il vino 2018" which this year will be held on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 November.
This important event is confirmed as the most important event in the world dedicated exclusively to wines in amphorae, a real international convention that will compare wine producers who have made the choice of terracotta in oenology, a choice of quality.

The organizer, like every year, is the cultural association founded by Leonardo Parisi, "La terracotta e il vino" which often presents itself as a meeting place.
Through the organization of conferences, conferences, debates and events "La terracotta e il vino" tries to find a meeting point between tradition and innovation, between the use of ancient processing techniques and the need to explore new expressive and functional potential of clay.

The ancient Fornace Agresti in Impruneta (Tuscany) will be the exceptional location of this edition, where about 42 selected companies will be protagonists in the two days of the event and will taste their wines representing almost all Italian regions.
More than one hundred labels of wines aged in amphorae present at the tasting desks. Within the event there will also be a refreshment point consisting of "islands" of excellent Tuscan food and agriculture selected in collaboration with Slow Food Florence.

For the Campania region, Tenuta Fontana will exhibit the prestigious labels and on Sunday 25 November our oenologist Francesco Bertoletti will lead, together with biodynamic agriculture consultant Adriano Zago, the guided tasting "Four continents in an amphora".
This event was born with the main intent to make known the practice of aging in amphora of terracotta in Italy and in the world, a practice now widespread among many producers owning wineries, but above all wants to be a recurring appointment for a comparison on the vinification in amphora between Italian and foreign wine producers for whom this practice is a real choice of quality.
